To support decision-making and fulfill compliance obligations, IRA will supplement information available in Banner through various surveys and benchmarking tools. During the Spring 2019 semester, the IRA Office will coordinate administration of the SUNY Student Opinion Survey (SOS) to at least 600 registered students to measure student satisfaction with various College services and programs.
As of 10/31/2018, we are still waiting for information from SUNY on the Spring 2019 administration of the SOS survey.
SOS registration/order form was completed and returned to ACT on 2/4/2019. The survey will be administered between 3/18/2019 and 4/18/2019.
The SOS Online Survey opened on 3/18/2019. Following the initial email invitation to 2,681 recipients, three “reminder” emails were sent out on 3/27/2019, 4/4/2019, and 4/15/2019. The survey closed on 4/18/2019 with 433 submitted surveys (433/2681 = 16% response rate). ACT will compile and summarize results and provide us with a report in early fall 2019.

Due to administration changes required by ACT, we were forced to administer the survey online. As a result, we fell short of our goal of at least 600 registered students completing the survey; completed survey were received from 433 students.
SUNY contract price for SOS increased from previous years to $3,771.00. In addition – SOS MUST be administered online – no more paper, in-class administration. See SOS Order Form attachment.
