Goal Statement :

Expand student opportunities to apply learning beyond the classroom environment by creating a virtual alumni house to increase engagement between alumni and students to support career goals.

The platform recommendation will be submitted for budget approval in January 2019. Pending budget approval, the Virtual Alumni House will be launched September 2019.

After a thorough examination between Alumni and Career Services, a product is not currently available to meet our needs. This project is postponed until a quality and cost effective product is found.

Funding/Resources (Optional) :

The Virtual Alumni House platform will be an estimated cost of $7,500-$10,000 per year. Career Services is willing to contribute $2,000 to help with the annual fee. Reducing the paper copies printed and mailed for The Forum alumni magazine will shift some of the External Affairs contribution towards the platform. Approximately $6,000 is spent for the paper Forum alumni magazine. There may be a small need for support for the difference depending on the final proposal.

Alumni Affairs is collaborating with Career Services to research and recommend a vendor to serve as a platform for the virtual alumni house.
