CO 5.4 Micro-credentials

 

Goal Statement :

By Fall 2020, we will have at least two micro credentials in the MSCE Area

November Progress Status (1-2 summary paragraphs – plain text only) :

2018 November update- The curriculum committee of the Academic Senate is working on a Procedure and a submission form for Micro-credentials. Once this is approved, we will be able to submit Micro-credentials.

2019 November update- A micro-credential in Human Resource Management was approved in September 2019.

 

February Progress Status (1-2 summary paragraphs – plain text only) :

2019 February update- Academic Senate approved a procedure and a routing form for the creation of micro-credentials. We will start submitting micro-credentials for approval in the near future.

2020 February update- No additional micro credentials have been created. 

 

June Progress Status (1-2 summary paragraphs – plain text only) :

2019 June update- A micro-credential on NYS Coaching Certification was approved in March 2019.

 

Goal Completion Statement – If you have finished working on this goal summarize the impact that this goal had on the related Core Objective(s) :

2020 June update – During the summer of 2020 we have approved a new Micro-credential on Professional Sales. That makes 3 MC so far. We have another Business related MC on the works, as well as, one in Food Processing field. The goal has been met and we are seeking to add more micro-credentials that would interest the community and meet employers needs.
